Romans 8: No Condemnation: God Did What the Law Could Not

Nov 2, 2025    Steve Wayne

This sermon walks through Romans 8:1–4 to show why there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Paul explains that the law could expose sin but could never give life because our flesh is weak, so God Himself did what the law could not by sending His Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and condemning sin in His flesh. Through the “law of the Spirit of life,” believers are set free from the “law of sin and death,” not by performance or legalism but by grace through faith in Christ’s finished work. The message calls Christians to rest in their secure standing before God while still making war on sin out of a new heart that actually wants to please Him.
