Baptism is more than a public ceremony. It is a declaration that we belong to Christ and a picture of what He has already done in us through faith. We are buried with Christ in His death, raised with Him to new life, and no longer enslaved to sin. Baptism does not save us, but it powerfully represents our union with Jesus, our changed life today, and our future resurrection with Him.
