Romans 8: Hope That Does Not Disappoint

Jun 14, 2026    Steve Wayne

Romans 8 teaches that Christian hope is not wishful thinking, but confident expectation in what God has promised. Although believers groan through suffering, weakness, sin, and physical decline, the Holy Spirit serves as God’s down payment and guarantee of the glory to come. Our trials increase our longing for the redemption of our bodies, equip us to comfort others, and remind us that this world is not our final home. Because Jesus secured our redemption, we can wait patiently with hope, knowing God will complete what He began.
