The Promised Messiah: The One Who Came and Is Coming Again
This sermon traces the grand biblical narrative of the promised Messiah from Genesis to Revelation. Beginning with God’s first promise in Genesis 3:15, Scripture repeatedly points to a coming Savior who would defeat sin, reign as the Davidic King, and bring redemption to His people. The sermon shows how Old Testament prophecies build anticipation for the Messiah and how these promises are fulfilled in the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ. Through passages in the Gospels and the writings of Paul, believers see that Jesus came as God in the flesh to bear the sins of humanity and provide salvation through His sacrifice. Yet the story is not finished. Just as the Old Testament anticipated Christ’s first coming, Christians now live in hopeful expectation of His second coming, when He will return in glory to gather His people and establish His eternal kingdom. The message calls listeners to repentance, faith, and a life of hopeful anticipation as they await the return of the King.
